As a guide to what to expect, this book is ideal for the newly pregnant woman.  It goes into specific details about what will likely occur to her throughout the 9 month period, both physically and emotionally. In addition, the various question and answer sections are excellent.  For the most part it is an excellent guide.

This book explains to parents everything they need to know about the first year with a new baby. It also contains special sections on older siblings, selecting the right physician, traveling with a baby, nurturing the adopted baby and babies with specific problems.

What to Expect the Toddler Years - by Heidi E. Murkoff & Sandee E. Hathaway (2 copies)

This book explains to parents everything they need to know about the second and third years of their child’s life. It also contains sections on toilet training, setting up a play group, keeping your child safe and caring for toddlers with special needs.

Your Baby's First Year Week by Week - Glade Curtis, M.D

This upbeat book emphasizes well-baby care and how you can encourage your baby's social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.  It covers topics such as baby gear, baby massage, diapering, first food and sleeping habits.
