Home Child Care

Perth Care for Kids offers a licensed home child care program for children from infants to school age. Home child care offers the security of licensed care in a warm home environment. Homes and caregivers are carefully selected. All homes are approved and supervised by our Home Child Care Coordinator. Caregivers receive on-going support, training and resources. Homes must meet all requirements of the Day Nurseries Act.

For parents, Home Child Care offers:

• Flexible hours of care

• Small group experience for your child, with maximum of 5 children under the age of six

• Regular monthly visits by the Home Child Care Coordinator

• Income tax receipts

• Financial assistance in form of child care subsidy available for families who qualify

• Homes meet health and safety standards required by the local Fire Department, Health Unit and per the Day Nurseries Act.

• Quality, age appropriate program, complete with educational toys and materials

Emergency Child Care

 

There are times you may find yourself in a situation where you suddenly need child care. Some of these situations include:

• Your child care provider has a family emergency and is unable to provide care tomorrow.

• You normally look after your children, but you must take care of a family member who requires hospital treatments.

• you need to attend a pre-employment training program this week, but you have no one to care for your child.

If you suddenly need child care, you can call 519-348-8618 between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Sunday to Thursday. Ask for the Emergency Child Care Coordinator.

 

Care is available on a BEST EFFORT basis. That means we will do our best to find care for you, but it is not guaranteed. Care is provided by our licensed home child care providers or by licensed child care centres in Perth County.
